ENERGY

My 25+ years experience covering the North American oil & gas industry encompasses a number of different vantage points. I am currently an analyst for Natural Gas Intelligence, which provides industry news and commentary. Before that, I was a sell-side equity research analyst for several different investment banks, and an analyst for the Amerada Hess Corporation.

Presentations / Analysis

U.S. Natural Gas Price Outlook

Here is the presentation I gave to the LDC Forum in Chicago in September 2014, when I argued U.S. natural gas prices would likely decline over the long-term. The 12 month NYMEX natural gas strip at the time was $3.85/MMBtu. As of 4/22/16, it stood at $2.68/MMbtu, down 30%.

Natural Gas Price Volatility & the Emergence of Appalachia Production

From April 2015. Price volatility should gradually return, especially as U.S. LNG exports begin in earnest. Meanwhile, the Henry Hub should continue to be the main reference point for U.S. natural gas prices.

Rising U.S. Natural Gas Supply Creates Price Risk

Another article I wrote on natural gas prices, this time in 2010. I believe this was one of the first published articles to express a bearish opinion on U.S. natural gas prices at that time.
